Crimson Trace CTS-103 red/green dot

Bought a couple of Crimson Trace CTS-103 red/green dot sights from Midway - not expensive - less than half the price most are going for these days. I'm sure it was a bulk buy/bulk sale thing. Label on the front of the package was misprinted. Anyone had expeience with this sight?

I have 3 Sig Romeo 5's, a Holosun, plus a very inexpensive Tacticon red/green reflex. (Tacticon's flip-up metal sights are very nice.) I like red and green dots. I'm 70 with fixed eyes, and need some help these days.

I'm very new to guns. Just picked up the same rifle with the CTS red/green dot on Monday. I tried to zero the sight in doors (somewhat dark setting) and it didn't seem to do any adjustments. When I took it to the range this morning--sunny morning--I can't see the dots at all. I made several adjustments to the brightness, switched colors, etc...and nothing. Have you had the same experience?
