Crimson Trace Laser sight

Amen.
As I stated above, the only gun I have mounted a CT grip on is the only fixed sight gun I own.
I had been shooting revolvers over 30 years before getting the laser so my hand muscles and brain are trained for trigger control.
Originally the idea was that I wanted to shoot different loads and be able to adjust the laser to accommodate them.
I found out my groups at the range were half as big using the laser no matter the load.
Controlling that dot jiggle is part of the zen of shooting.
I consider the laser a shooting aid on that respect.
The jiggle doesn't really matter when point shooting anyway.
What it does for me is add confidence.
Probably not going to put one on any adjustable sight revolver mostly due to the cost and the fact I can still shoot them to my satisfaction.

Not with CT grips but a weapon mounted laser, yes. My reference to the YouTube video wasn't meant as evidence. Instead, as an example of how lasers could be a crutch if not trained with properly. This doesn't imply it's the fault of a particular piece of equipment but that of the user. I know it doesn't help much since I can't find the video itself but it was a rational approach that applied to the majority of recreational and self defense training and/or shooting.

I disagree with your opinion that a laser adds an intimidation factor. Along with the belief that racking a shotgun would do the the same. If I'm a bad guy and my intent is to purposely harm you, you've given me your location and knowledge that you have a firearm and that I (the perp) need to quickly escalate the violence level to achieve my goal(s).

I don't berate people for their choices, instead, I warn of what the implications could be. It's up to the individual to make up their own mind considering the information they have. Good wishes to the OP if they decide to pursue the laser option.
My opinions are based on use of the equipment, as well as, experiences. I have seen armed people intent upon doing criminal personal harm upon another person and be dissuaded the instant a firearm was produced. If a bad guy is going to harm me then I suspect that he has already identified me, so the CT wouldn't "give away" my location. If the light was dim, he might not know that I was armed until I was forced to draw and point my CT equipped weapon to defend myself. I'm not sure about your thinking about how my having a weapon is going to escalate the situation. You are entitled to your opinions, but I question their validity.

I was once working an unarmed post when a mob of 16 men and women high and drunk started beating up a guy in the parking lot. After we managed to remove the victim from harm the mob turned and went after some poor guy pumping gas. 5 of them got past and started hitting him.
He made his way to his car and pulled a 1911 out. All the crazed high and drunk mob took one look at the red dots flashing around and ran back to their party bus. They do stop an attack even with craze mobs involved I was in the middle and have seen it first hand.

I have a CT 305 on my 442. They are the best investment out there for j frames. I set mine for 7 yards. Besides making the 442 much more accurate, the grips are extremely comfortable. The larger 305 easily allow you to put your pinky on the grip.

I have 3 sets and like them. The only down side for me on a J frame, is they fill in the gap behind the trigger guard, on a J frame I like to grip it higher.
