My LGS has a SS CS .40 with case, papers, 2 mags and std Hogue grips.
Fired Casing date is 2005. This gun looks like it was fired very little. Almost NIB..
Is $550 to much OTD? Or is $500 about the highest I should go?

Its hard to say, lately the CS9 and CS45's have been getting the higher price than the CS40. Your location has a lot to do with it also. It all comes down to how much do you want to pay for it....and be satisfied.

I had been watching the CS 40's about 6 months ago and they were going for $450 to $500 without box or papers. Your deal does'nt sound unreasonable.

I think I paid $525.00 plus $25.00 S&H for duo-tone about 6 or 8 months ago - it was little used w/box and papers, 2 mags. It's a nice shooter and great for CC.

Hi, Mike!

I don't have an opinion on price.
I'm just fascinated to learn of a CS40 made so late.
I thought they were all gone by 2003?
Maybe a special order?
What is the julian date on the label?
CS40 is a great pistol!

I just recently bought one with box & 2 mags for $450. They had it listed for $550..... See if you can bring them down a bit. They had been sitting on it for a couple of months, so I might have caught them at the right time. I will say that I very much like the firearm....

SS models seem to command slightly higher price and if it was a must have gun for me, I'd go $550 but would try to negotiate it down to $500. Haven't tracked prices much on them lately but for last few years seem to hear of people finding them in good shape priced $450-550. I like my CS40 but prefer shooting either my CS9 or CS45...40 is pretty snappy for me.
