I've been looking at the CS line for a CCW. I've not seen any thing less than good about the CS40 and I did a search here and saw positive remarks as well. The reason I ask is there are a lot more CS40's available on GB right now than either the CS9 or CS45. In addition, the CS9 and C45 seem to be quite a bit more expensive and that got me wondering. So, to sum up, is there any reason to steer clear of the CS40?

Thanks in advance.

Not that I'm aware of. I bought my CS40 about six months ago and haven't had any problems. I think it's a great every day concealed carry pistol.

I think what you're seeing is a combination of chance, and that the 40S&W is not as popular as the 9mm Luger & 45 ACP. By chance, I mean that this week there's more CS40's advertised, but next week it will be something else. I had to look for weeks before I found mine. Plus, they may not sell quite as quickly because more people are looking for 9's & 45's.

Buy one while you have the chance. You won't regret it! :)

Cheers!

The challenge is getting one at the right price. You can get one off GB without box and second mag fairly cheap but they are usually scratched or scuffed. Getting one in like new shape with orginal box and everything without paying an arm and a leg is the trick. I had been bidding off and on at the GB site but one of this site's members offered me a deal on his with six mags, BigDog grips, orginal grips, box and all for a lot less than what I would have had to pay elsewhere.

BTY, its a great shooter. I would get rid of my CS9 before parting with the CS40

I have a CS9 and a CS45. They are great guns. I would assume less CS40's were made because I see the other varieties up for sale more often.

The CS40, like the 9 and 45 is a great little pistol. If memory serves correct, seems I too heard that far fewer of the 40's were made than the 9 and 45. I have all 3 and enjoy shooting and carrying them all. They are utterly reliable, seem to digest any ammo and are accurate and comfortable to shoot for being such a small gun. The 40 and 45 are about the same dimensions (length, width, etc) and slightly larger in all respects than the 9 and a few ounces heavier than the 9 unloaded.
