I went to the range today. I ran 100 rounds through my CZ-75 PCR. It has a different trigger, a new hammer and has been buffed by Angus Hobdell. It's awesome.

Then, 50 rounds through my box stock CS9. Frankly, it can keep up with the CZ. I tend to forget how nice this gun really is. If you're looking for a carry gun the CS is hard to beat.

The only way to make it sweeter is to add Trijicon Night sights and Big Dog's custom Delrin Grips.I am a long time double action revolver shooter so mine has a DAO conversion and a trigger job too.....Mike

OK - why put night sights on this gun? Basically it's a SD carry gun that's most likely to be used as a point shooter.

I would vote for just a front night sight should lighting conditions or the lack of, seeing your front sight would add piece of mind.

thats if you had the money.

I run mine with a white dot front and plain black rear novak.

I am not a fan of 3 dot set up.

Yep, the CS9 was a great little 3" defensive pistol.

I held off on buying one because of how well I liked my 3913. What caused me to finally order one was spending some range time using one belonging to another instructor.

I found it to be a well balanced, fast handling little pistol that was able to equal the accuracy of my 3913. The felt recoil was a bit snappier than when shooting my 3193, but it returned to target fast, too.

I actually prefer my CS9 to my CS45, and I've run many, many more rounds through my CS45 over the years.

I initially put night sights on for situations where I might use it in low light but found that they correct a problem many forum members were having. With the Novak Sights the CS9 has a tendency to shoot low to point of aim.Once the Trijicons went on it shoots to exact point of aim.I thought that this might be isolated ,but after telling the forum other CS9 owners reported these same findings. The CS9 is a self defense carry gun but it also holds its own when used as a target pistol too....All the best and God Bless....Mike

OK, that makes sense. When I first got this gun I tried shooting it off a sandbag and found it shot low.
Once I stopped worrying about that I've found that I'm in the 9 or 10 ring out to 15 yards. Close enough.

I suppose I got lucky when it came to my 3913 & CS9 shooting exactly to point of aim in my hands, using various loads (standard pressure, +P & +P+ loads).

The CS9 is the sleeper of CCW weapons (with Big Dog grips, of course).
