Excellent find ... around here ( western NY ) any CS lasts about 1 day in the shop. I even have friends looking and was still too late on the last one. Congratulations.

I never regret how I came into the world of semi-autos.I was a DA revolver guy forever until I became a instructor and it was time.I knew I wanted a gun with a magazine disconnect safety,one where you didn't have to pull the trigger to break it down, and NO POLYMER FRAME.Looks like the CS9 picked me out.I had the Trijicon Night Sights and Big Dog's Grips added,had it converted to DAO and a trigger job done by the S+W Armorers and I have the perfect 9mm Semi Auto.
Great purchase. I got one a month ago. I haven't decided weather I like it or the 3914 better. I am sure you will feel the same way. A person cannot have too many pistols or revolvers. Congrats! I have to believe that getting any handgun in the great State of NY is an accomplishment. I used to live there...so any gun purchase in NY is quite an accomplishment in it's own right. You did really good!

Not that bad. If "lower NY" means Westchester, he probably won't get a carry permit, but any further north and it's pretty much guarenteed. Just gotta wait a bit.

Buying handguns in NY is pretty easy once you get a CCW. I've bought multiple handguns in a day, on more than one occasion.
The only place I can't carry(and yes I have full carry) is NYC, but I was born there and know my way around pretty well
. And of course the usual post office, schools, and gov't buildings are out of bounds. Bar carry is fine, and no duty to inforn anyone.
Don't want to rehash the whole NY sucks thing, too much hysteria and misinformation are thrown about here.

My LGS has a DAO only one..... doesnt really fit my hand. Figure I would pass it along, they are asking a very fair price for it.

New York is slow in getting the process completed when buying a handgun the closer you are to the "Kingdom of NY City" and the selection of available firearms can be limited when it comes to used firearms due to the smaller # of gun shops.In my case it is "Thank God for the internet" otherwise I wouldn't have the guns that I do.As difficult as NY can be I say "Thank God I am not in NJ,Mass or the Rupubllic of California.
