I took my CSX E-Series to the range yesterday, came home and cleaned it.
It's currently my primary carry pistol.
As part of the function check I placed an iTarget laser in the chamber and dry-fired a bunch of times.
Then I got distracted by something for a bit and came back to the pistol and put a few plastic dummy rounds in a mag, threw into the well and pulled the slide back.
Of course, the dummy round slammed into the iTarget laser and it took some effort to dislodge the dummy round.
I field stripped the pistol and didn't see any damage, and everything seems fine functionally.
Is there anything I should be looking for in terms of damage, or am I worrying for nothing?
