Csx

I am glad the CSX is getting more positive reviews, I think it is a nice pocket pistol, but what I thought that I heard when it first came out was:

I had to sell my CSX, when I asked it to make breakfast, the eggs over easy where a bit too runny, the bacon was just a bit too crisp and there was pulp in the orange juice. Then when it drove me to work, I was 5 minutes late. Then the Camp Perry long distance shooting competition. I thought I could leave my M-14 at home and use my CSX, I did not win a single 1,000 yard competition with the CSX. When is Smith & Wesson going to get it right!!

Following up on my earlier post, I had a chance to shoot a rental CSX at the range today when I was giving my new Glock 47 its first workout. Shot. 50 rounds of BB 124FMJ with no malfunctions and was able to produce a fist size group at 7yds offhand standing. The trigger felt good, the reset was short and noticeable. No false reset. So the CSX as moved up on my next-gun-to-buy list.

He He He :) Good Post Rick. Also, Darn CSX .... it would not open my biometric safe when I asked it to, when is S&W going to get it right.

Got the CSX out to the range yesterday and put app. 100 rnds of home rolled 115 gr pills through it, using both the 10 & 12 round magazines. No malfunctions to report and it's quite possible the P-365 might get bumped as my EDC. With the price Brownell's is offering and the $75 rebate from Smith, I would strongly urge anyone on the fence to go out & buy one, you won't be disappointed.

I have a very early model CSX with probably close to a thousand rounds through it. So far it has been stone reliable feeding everything I put through it.

I also have no problem with the "false reset" some owners have commented on. This is a personal defense pistol, it is NOT a match grade pistol. If you unfortunately are ever in a self defense situation, you will not even think about the reset. I have personally been in two shootings during my career as a former federal agent. Both times I don't remember anything other than I needed to put rounds on my adversary.

Don't get wrapped around the axle about an issue that isn't even going to be an issue in a gunfight. If you want a perfect reset for the range, then but a Colt National Match 1911. But leave the self defense role to the CSX, it's what it was designed for.
