He was a good actor. Always had supporting roles. I never knew his name but I do remember him in Red Dawn.
He played the commander of Cuban forces right?
Checked movie credits...he played the Air Force pilot who was shot down.

I believe that was Michael Biehn as Johnny Ringo who had the twirl-off with Holiday.First Michael Parks and now Powers Boothe. Great character actors. Hope there is not a third soon. I remember Boothe most clearly playing Curly Bill in "Tombstone." The scene where he shot up the wedding party gave him credibility as a bad guy, and the gun-twirling scene in the bar with Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday (who twirled his tin cup in response) was a classic movie moment.
