We just received in a batch of S&W M&P's and wanted to cover some of the changes (if already posted, we apologize).

1. Trigger bar: The latest version has a Letter "H" stamped into the side of it.

2. Slide catch/release: Has a bump on the right side that presses against the trigger bar giving the shooter a positive click during reset

3. Sear: This is now a Performance Center Sear.

4. Barrel: The twist rate happened some time ago, but it appears that that the slide to barrel hood fit is much better than what I have seen in the past. You still aren't going to get the same groups as a custom fitted barrel, but the guns should produce 3-5" groups @ 25yds. More than good enough for a service pistol.

All recently produced M&Ps that I've examined have an audible trigger reset (Via Shield) that many have wanted.

Looking at the sear...Is there any difference to the loop on the trigger bar? ....as in opened more? A side by side of the new trigger bar with old would be appreciated.

Thanks for posting.

How about the slide lock lever extension tab that interacts with the magazine follower in order to raise the lever?

There have been some recent threads regarding a new design in the follower which is not interacting properly with the slide lock lever. Wondering if the extension tab has been lengthened on the newer version with the hump.

I just got a 9 Pro 5" test fired in June. It has the H bar but no new stop. Barrel has 1 dimple which I assume is the new one

Yes, the new "H" trigger bar has some changes to it, but they are hard to see with the naked eye.

C4,

Thank you very much for posting your discoveries. Are You still fitting SL barrels? PM on its way

C4IGrant - Thanks for this informative post.

I'm in the market for a S&W Pro 4.25" in 9mm in November.

Have you seen any similar changes/upgrades in the S&W Pro series pistols?

TY Sir.
