If you can find them in LGS/online, what prices are you seeing for them? Is $479 w/ tax included fair? I have the opportunity to purchase one.

Seems fair enough. I think I paid 460 inc. tax for mine. Alot cheaper than some of the prices I've seen. Go for it; I really like mine.

Vance's in central Ohio has been selling the Flash hider version for $429.99 and the MOE black version for $489.99. These are sale prices though and the regular version usually sells there for $500 and the version with no flash hider usually sells for $479 so in your case, regardless of what version it is, it sounds like a fair deal, especially in our current situation.

Kentucky gun co has the moe for $549 and they are currently in stock. I wish I would have waited to buy mine. I paid $499 for the A1 with flash hider 3 weeks ago at the local Academy Sports.
Best price I've seen for a 15-22 locally was for $399 (special sale). I recently noticed some black 15-22 MOE's also at our LGS for $529 (another special sale).
That said, depending on what the supply/demand situation is in your area I'd say cost would be anywhere between $400-$609 (MSRP).

The MOE dealer cost is $455 and the cheapest model dealer cost is $380. Figure your deal from from there but prices are all over right now but I would expect things to level out soon...

Currently waiting on mine to ship. I have seen the MOE's for well over $600 online.

Bought another in central Ms for $499 with F/H. The first two I got [ gave 1st to grandson, 2nd to daughter ] shipped with 2 --25 rd. mags and was about $450,, the one I just got only had one mag.

$479 + tax is a fair price indeed. I believe I paid $439 plus tax about two years ago for mine.
I worked a gun trade with a local dealer and he charged me $600 for a MOE version and because he was also giving me $300 in cash and the MOE I did the deal.

Depending on the model, that seems like a very fair price. Especially in the current market.

I got mine at the Bill Goodman show in Cincinnati an Feb. 2nd for $459 + tax. I didn't think that was too bad as everyone there was in full blown panic buying mode at that time.

With ammo in short supply,that is a very "reasonable price right now. Weapon sales are slowing as ammo gets harder to find (even MSR's are better priced all of a sudden too). Now is the time to shop for what you want before the next wave hits and ammo floods the market again. Might watch for mags too.
