Any ideas on the current turnaround time? I just sent my 586 to S&W for the recall work. Am I looking at a couple of weeks? Months?

I sent in my M&P 9mm back in November 2017 for the M&P action package and I just got it back almost two weeks ago.

Right now, it seems as if the winter storm has stopped its travel in Newark. I have asked some friends in that area to take my revolver a sandwich and a change of clothes.

In August I sent my 627-0 in to have the hammer stud replaced. Just got it back after a 6 month wait. Recall work may be quicker.

S&W received my 696 for evaluation on 12/1/17. I called them for a second time earlier this week. The gentleman looked it up and said, "They should have sent you a letter two weeks ago, and he was going to get the letter with an estimate out right away."

I recently returned my 627PC to the factory for repair (it lost the yoke locking ball) - I dropped it off at FedEx for trip back on February 1, it was delivered back to me on March 1. Having said that, I would have to assume that the turn-around time is somewhat dependent on the nature of the work need, as well as if it is a warranty vs. paid (estimate/approval needed) repairs.

Several weeks to several months, depending on the nature of the work and the age of the gun. I just contacted them, regarding cutting a forcing cone into my 19-5, which appears to have left the factory, without one. The rep I contacted suggested that I'd be better off getting the work done locally, if time was a consideration. It sounds like they're busy doing warranty work on new guns.

Return Time

I sent A new model 17 back for repair. Was 4 weeks to the day.

Last week, Rachel at S&W customer service said they have a five week turnaround time. Friday marked three weeks for me.

Call S&W and ask to speak to Kate Fredette at 1-800-331-0852. Have your gun's serial number handy. She should be able to give you a status or you can email her at [email protected].

They've had my 432 since Oct. Somehow it ended up in the performance center. Nobody up there will tell me how or why. Only that it's a 4 month turnaround and that they will send it back it I want. I bought it ne in 2008.

My 66-2 has been there 7weeks exactly today for warranty work it was unfired but not untouched on the inside so I sent in for a once over. I called two weeks ago to verify women was polite and said it's in revolver shop should be looking at it this week meaning two weeks ago. I can wait I figured it was gonna be a while when I sent it back.
