Some amazing grips. Thanks so much for posting. I was hoping to see some MOP and abalone grips. I only have a few sets of custom grips and they are on 1911's I own. I have wanted to find someone who can do inlay in buffalo horn. Want to get the Kronos symbol inlaid with MOP or abalone.

Jordan Troopers from Herrett's. on the top two. The middle set is from the 1970's.
And a set of their Target grips on the K-38 on the bottom ordered in 1975. That gun is a factory single action only, with a Bo-Mar target rib . I shot a bullseye course with it each week, a local Police league that was a huge amount of fun. I sold it when I left the Dept to another Officer when I moved to MT in 1979. He NEVER fired it. I bought it back from him just this past Summer. I was very happy to have that old friend back in my hands again. with 148 gr HB wadcutters it's a laser.
A set of Fuzzy Farrant's I bought in 1976 and have used them quite a bit since. They are on the large size but I wanted to be able to shoot a snub gun accurately. And those are what Mr. Farrant did with my hand pattern.

Ivories I had fitted by the owner of Nutmeg Sports maybe a dozen years back. Forget his name but he just passed maybe a month ago. He did tremendous work. He also did an action job on this gun, a .45 Colt USFA. This was taken when I first got the gun back. The grips have taken on a tanner color and showing tan to light yellow in the grain now.
Despite being a dyed in the wool S&W aficionado, THIS gun is still one of my most treasured possessions.

Ed Brown Kobra Carry with Davidson's.
I know these are G-10's ,not wood or Ivory. But Larry Davidson did IMHO the best auto grips around. He would adjust the thickness to your liking. As well as adjust the coarseness of the panels through several different patterns to further tailor them to the shooter.
Only shot of his grips I have hosted. I have them on a few 1911's as well as my old Novak BHP. He sadly no longer manufactures grips. Sure wish he would start up again!

Wish I knew more about the origin of them.
The revolver came to me this way, and the previous owner showed up at my house a week later with the box and original stocks numbered to the gun. Luck was on my side that time!

The owner of Nutmeg Sports was Jim Alaimo. I knew Jim from various gun shows he attended here in Rochester and Syracuse, New York in the 1990's. I also had bought several pairs of Ivory grips from him over the years. Jim also had connections with custom handgun case makers and helped me acquire some for various handguns I owned. I believe his son-in-law will continue on with the business. Jim always had a smile on his face, and I am sad to hear of his passing. RIP Jim.

This 10-6 came to me with these stocks on it. I am guessing it was built between 1971 & 1980. (1967 serial# frame) Regardless I have never seen wood like this before. The only marking on them is Taiwan, on the back of 1. They have a nice coke profile. Anyone seen these before? Bob
