. A Lyman 1A aperture sight was added to the tang. Added a picture of the front sight.
The current version of the Lyman Tang sight uses an O-ring to hold the elevation in place. It works OK as an adjustable sight, but is not repeatable for engaging multiple distances, like the originals. Montana Valley Arms makes faithful reproductions, and they have parts to rebuild old sights if you should need them, Including better eye disks for the Schuetzen and offhand sports.
