Hello all. Recently found on a site selling “kits” (left overs after a frame is destroyed during a buy back) and found a Model 64 kit (pencil barrel no dash I believe). Atlantic firearms is also selling a 10-10 frame and barrel (with sideplate) can I have a smith merge the two together to make my own custom Pinto? I know it ain’t going to be cheap but I like unique project guns.

You will probably have issues with that late of a Model 10 frame with a Model 64...Model 64's are kind of my thing.

Also, remember that 64 no dash, 64-1 up till just before 64-3 had a change on the gas ring/forcing cone and I very seriously doubt it would be a simple swap with the 10-10.

I think I know the component company you are referring to. I have bought from them many times.

I also once tried to customize my old motorcycle with spare parts. It took some work, but the end result was totally worth it. Merging the Model 64 kit with the 10-10 frame and barrel is definitely doable with the right smith. It might cost a bit, but having your own custom Pinto will be one-of-a-kind.
