In the UK cats in urban areas often display what some here might think is odd behaviour. Some become local characters sitting on the front wall demanding to be petted by passers-by. There was a cat in one town who spent most of the day wandering around a Ministry of Defence establishment and it was alleged he had his own chair in the accounts department. Apparently his owner had been none the wiser for some time until a worker there told her.
This guy had a gig at the bus stop outside his owners house. Seems he just liked people and was not afraid to come and sit with them while they waited for the bus. He would even greet certain folk who were regulars as they got off. He passed away recently at 22 and the bus company is thinking of naming the stop after him. RIP Smudge, a good cat.
