Have you had this problem on your 500 or 460? After shooting just over 1,000rds through one of my 500s, it starting to show the sign of cylinder dragging. I understand that the construction of cylinder for X fram is a bit different from other frames but is it easy fix?
Thanks in advance,

The job is done the same way as any other frame. The yoke is larger so you will have to stretch the tube (bearings won't work). Information on how the cylinder comes apart is in the FAQ's. Remenber to support the tube from crushing with a rod or drill blank as you work the outsides.

But to add this:
If you bought it new, there is a lifetime warrentee on it so let S&W repair it...

Thanks 500 Magnum Nut,

I knew you would know the answer.
I was hoping that I can do it myself by using the bearing but I guess I have to contact S&W.

Call smith ask for a new yoke screw for this mod. At n/c see if this works.

I sent my 460 xvr back to the mother ship after 2-300 rounds. Endshake was one of the problems they addressed and a bunch of trigger creep was the other issue. The yoke came back with 2 rings where they stretched it.
