Anyone have any experience with Cylinder & Slide's SFS system...the one that changes operations from a traditional SA 1911 to one that after it's cocked, you push down and the hammer and it goes into "safety," then when you flick off the safety it goes back to traditional SA?

I don't like carrying cocked and locked. I have no problems pocket carrying a J-frame or any of my Smith pistols in DA or my M&Ps with the safety on. But cocked and locked is just something in my head I can't overcome.

So, is this a viable alternative? $125 for the parts and maybe a gunsmith if it's beyond what I think I'm capable of? I don't need my 1911 or BHP as carry guns....but they are both great shooters and I'd like to get more use out of them.

I have handled 3 with the conversion ,2 colts and a high power. It is something that i don't see a need for ,the H.P sits at my desk also cocked & locked, 1911 that i carry is cocked and locked .F.N. bought the patent from cylinder & slide to factory install , so some must like it.I have come to accept that people like different options
