I have a S&W double action revolver Top Break 38 S&W Cal with hammer shell extractor 4 " barrel serial # 360025 that has a broken cylinder stop. I have tried to look for a new cylinder stop and can not find one and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to fix the gun or get a cylinder Stop that would work?

Hi There,

After you check on the spring and other parts and you have made
sure that it is the cylinder stop bolt you need, you can get one from
Jack First Gun Parts.

Cheers!

Not that Webb needed my help but Jack First has them new for $48+/- plus shipping. This cylinder stop type has the spring integral with the bolt and is one piece. Before installing, one needs to check the width of the stop with the cylinder stop cuts and the window in the frame to insure the fit. I have found them to be slightly too wide and needing a 320-grit sanding on a flat surface to fit properly.

Also, pay sharp attention to the relationship of the parts as you disassemble the double action as they are not easy to reassemble. As an example, the trigger spring has one leg that is slightly longer than the other and that makes a difference when assembled.
