I picked up this gun today. Though not a Smith, it is a nice piece of history. Nazi marked CZ 27 with all matching numbers. It has a five digit serial, putting it in the "high polish" finish period early in the war. The holster seems to be original to the gun. The gun was dirty internally, but not a spot of rust or pitting that I could find. Just holster wear. It was purchased from a widow here in North Carolina. It belonged to her husband who passed away recently. He served in WWII.

The gun seems very well made for an occupation piece. It has a springy but clean trigger, feeds dummy rounds smoothly, and has an interesting button activated safety. As we often say with guns, "if only it could speak"...

Nice pistol !!! I had one someone gave me with the holster .The safety was broken but I got one from Numrich. It was a good shooter for a .32 acp. Like a fool I sold it for something else . A local shop has one and is asking $450.00 it's nice but to me a little steap.

Any tips on disassembling the magazine? I can't quite tell if the floor plate will slide off, or if it's permanently pressed in place. I tried capturing the spring to pop the follower out the top, but it's hard to do with one sided witness slots. I'd like to clean the grime out.

Prices are all over the place for these. I paid less that that, but still probably overpaid a bit. I liked the gun and never see these just sitting around in gun stores, so I don't feel bad about it. Try talking them down to $400 if you really want it, that seems to be a median price. Especially if it still has the holster.

The magazine bottom will slide off. However the spring is notched into it in the middle of the mag and can be a real PITA to get back together. I would just spray the heck out of it with degreaser while using a shop- vac to suck up any grime.

The first pistol I fired was one of these. It was my grandfathers. It is gone now, ended up in a lake due to and uncle and his drug problem (deal gone bad).
Any way I found one to replace it a few years back. Fun little gun.

One of the best fun shooters I own.

I have had mine for two years now and really like shooting it. It's real accurate and easy to carry. Did'nt like the flap holster idea so I made a holster with a trigger guard snap.. I't not the kind of pistol you can carry loaded due to it's design,I wouldn't trust the button safety. But never ever jams. I'll post some pic's tomorrow. But in my book the cz 27 gets a thumbs up.

Yup, I just sprayed it out and swabbed out what I could around the feed lips. I fiddled with the end of the spring in the notch for a couple minutes, and just decided I didn't need the magazine apart all that bad. It works fine.

I fired 20 rounds today to test function. What can I say? Perfectly centered cluster of shots at 7 yards one handed. Guns points naturally for me, nice trigger and little recoil. Really fun gun to shoot and I enjoy having it in my collection.

I'm glad it worked for you. These little pistols are accurate for what they are. Someone else said there gonna post some pics of theirs, cool. I have one that's an fnh variation made around 1943-44, I put a wartime rig together with a spare mag and holster I'll have to get up some pics too.
