CZ 527 Carbine, 7.62 X 39 Bolt Action......

My Ruger shot a 7.62x39 but had a 308 bore. I had to hand load 125 gr. 308 Spitzers. What bore is the CZ?
There was/is? a version of the American that takes a flush fit 3rd magazine.

My understanding is that the CZ was designed for euro ammo and has a .311 bore.

You cant find the gun because you CAN find the ammunition.
Okay, you're not going to believe this but I found another CZ 527 Carbine in 7.62 X 39. This one a wood stocked, iron sight version. I'll use this one a a hiking/ATV companion. No scope makes for a nice compact, light weight, handy rifle. Right at 6 pounds even with sling and five rounds loaded.
Sights were dead on, I was shooting it in the cold and snow today, couldn't go prone so shot from standing/sitting mostly. What a hoot to shoot, and easy on the eyes....
Steel targets shot from 70 to 170 yards.....

I always thought I'd like one of those. After seeing how well yours shoots, I now know I'd like one!
Don't have a carbine but a 527 FS/mannlicher with a 20" barrel in .223/5.56.... if you want to scope check out Leupolds little 1-4x20 scope

I have a Ruger American Ranch 7.62X39 and it's a very accurate rifle. It does have one issue. The bolt doesn't lock into place, loaded or unloaded, safety on or off. I've carried it in the field and the bolt opened, a round fell out and debris was in the chamber. I have never had a rifle like this and I just wonder why.
Excellent rifles, this one is mine in 7.62x39 with a Leupold 4x33 Wide Duplex.

These are very nice. I have the Ruger American Ranch version. It was threaded and makes for a nice quiet shooter and great whitetail rifle where the distances are moderate. Mad Dog 521, mine does lock the bolt. You might want to have someone look at yours
