CZ 99 9mm pistol

Anyone here have one of these 9mms from the former Yugoslavia ? They are cropping up on the surplus market at decent prices. Just curious if the quality was good. Etc. They are similar in appearance to a Sig P226. Thinking about getting one .......

I have a SIG P226 and a Walther P88. The CZ99s, and descendants share features of each. I have often thought about picking one up.

They are good pistols. All yours needs is a little TLC.

They are ok if you don't plan on shooting a lot and relying on it as your primary. There was a post about this gun on another forum where a member who was also stationed in Iraq did a big write up on it. The guns were issued to Iraqi forces and while they were fine at first after some serious use they began to have serious issues. Mainly cracked frames and parts breakage
