I am thinking about saving up and having one of these be my next gun.

I saw a beautiful Stainless one in my LGS the other day.

It felt amazing and pointed as nicely as anything that I have ever held.

I have heard good things, but wanted to get some opinions from folks on here.

Thanks

Tom

Best out of the box triggers! Love them!

My favorite 9mm period......my S&W 915 is my second. The CZ-75 has everything going for it. I can`t think of anything bad.

They are one of the best buys out there. I hadn't seen any CZ75B's for about a year and a half after the last guns & ammo panic, but recently some inventory is showing up in the stores again. People that own them swear by them.

If I could only have one handgun it would be a cz 75.

I'd have to agree. It's accurate, reliable and it fits my hand. It is as nicely made as anything I have seen. In my admittedly limited experience, I have not tried anything that shoots better. You can pay a lot more without doing better.

I've wanted one ever since I saw it at Harry's Army Navy in Bordentown, NJ around 1986. Haven't found an original one, so I had to settle for one of its (ugh!) "clones":

Cz 75

I think it's the best buy in a semi auto 9 on the market. Great trigger , great sights, and very acurate. It has a great feel to it.buy with confidence.

I have a polymer SP-01 Phantom and it points very well, but my recently acquired 5906 TSW has a much better trigger, DA and SA.

Does that get kept in the Glove Box of the '73 Daytona Spider?

I felt amazing and pointed very naturally. I think you all are judging me, successfully.

Buy it quick you will be very happy with it. I am with mine. Don't forget the cz 82 and cz 83's there just as good as the cz 75. The cz 75 was the choice of the Russian spec ops. It's one of the top 9mm pistols.

I preface what I am about to say by stating I own a couple Sig P200-series pistols equipped with short reset and short reach triggers. I own a Taurus PT92, Beretta 92fs, and a Walther P1. I am very partial to hammer fired, metal frame, DA/SA semi-auto pistols chambered for 9mm. It doesn't matter brand name, the pistol has to feel just right to me.

I've had a CZ 75B Matte Stainless on order for a few months. I already have 1/2 checkered CZ wood grips, stainless hex grip screws, and a couple extra mags on hand ready to go. There is something special about the CZ 75B that can't be described. The feel in hand and perceived recoil impulse are unique to me. Nothing shoots just like the CZ.

They feel good in my hand and point well. I doubt I will buy one, but they are tempting. I have settled on another brand and have all my needs met for carry, home defense, and target. Just want to stay with one platform.

I had a lovely pre-B CZ75 which I loved--wonderful pistol, though too big for carry in my particular circumstances. Like a damn fool I sold it, a decision I still regret.

Fantastic handgun in ALL regards!! I have 7 CZ's and love every one of them....

Put me down as a fan. I have three. My first is a Pre-B 85 (ambi safety). I didn't realize that the current magazines don't work in the Pre-Bs. Finally lucked out and found enough. I recently acquired a new 75BD and a Compact 75BD. I much prefer the hammer drop safety on the Ds over the hammer back safety of the standard Bs. Holsters can be problematic but they are out there. It took me awhile to find a duty holster for the full size 75BD. All three have the best out-of-box triggers that I have ever experienced, bar none. The trigger reach for the DA first shot is a pit long but the trigger is so smooth and easy that it isn't a problem. Great guns, I wish I would have discovered them earlier in life.

CZ75

I have owned a CZ75 since I first heard about them in 1985 and was able to acquire one of the first ones. It has the smoothest DA trigger anywhere. It fits my hand perfectly and is as good as the Browning HP in the way it performs. IMHO you can not go wrong with a CZ.

Apparently I'm not as much of a CZ 75 enthusiast as a few of you guys because if I could only have three pistols they'd all be revolvers but I have fired over 10,000 rounds through my CZ 85 Combat.

When CZ adds an ambidextrous safety they rename the 75 an 85. Their 85 Combat adds a moderately extended mag release and adjustable sights. It also reverts to a 1911 style firing pin retaining plate and for a lighter trigger does not have, to use Colt's words, a Series 80 firing pin safety. Mine came with a pretty decent 5 pound trigger. I never felt the need to tinker with its SA trigger which I can not say about either of my 75s. When I ordered mine new in 2000 the upgrade from a 75B was only $60. Unless you really need the corrosion resistance of a stainless 75B I recommend the less expensive 85 combat. If you don't go with stainless I also suggest ordering a blued CZ rather than settling for the default flat black paint. When I ordered my 85 well polished blue or nickel were the same price as ugly black paint. The last time I looked the price difference was still only $25.

Looking back at what was available when I bought my 85 I still think I made the best choice. I wanted an affordable 9mm that could be cocked and locked for action pistol matches. In between buying panics CDNN has sold new factory 75 magazines for $20. 9mm 1911s cost a lot more and their external extractors don't work nearly as well with steel cased cartridges which were dirt cheap at the time. I'm satisfied and have no reason to look at other options to fill the same role but there are a lot of 9mms on the market. There are inexpensive 9mm 1911s from the Philippines and 1911 SA triggers can be gunsmithed to a lighter weight. If you plan to use the 75's DA it would be good to test out how accurately you can shoot it that way.

Best of luck to you.

CZ75B is a great gun. Almost as good as the Hi Power. My only problem with it is the double-action trigger pull is a little long for me. The EAA Witness is a close copy by Tanfoglio of Italy.

Using three feet of Kentucky windage I can ping small rocks on the berm at 100yds using wolf fmj 9mm luger ammo. With my cz85db it's a ambidextrous cz75. I really like the double action first shot feature.
Hitting things at 100yds is cool one must know it's limitations.

Put me down as a fan. When I was stationed in Germany back in '90-'92 I picked up 2 sequentially numbered pairs(we were only allowed to bring back 2 of any particular model)...one pair of CZ-75s and one pair of CZ-85s. Great pistols, very nice grip size, point and shoot well. Love them!

I also have some CZ-82s and 83s and a CZ-50...excellent 9x18mm, .380 & .32 ACP pistols, respectively. I also have a CZ-52 in 7.62x25mm...interesting, but doesn't do too much for me. It's one I would consider selling. Kinda clunky, and ammo is not as cheap or easily found as it once was.
