Czechnology

My first guns were a ČZ52 and a vz.50, bought as a pair from a buddy to go with my Jawa and ČZ motorcycles. About six or seven years ago, a ČZ75 BD came my way, that is to say, I saw it under glass at an LGS, and I grabbed it up. It is a very nice gun that shoots a lot better than I do. If a ČZ 82 came within range at a decent price, I would be glad to add it.View attachment 761757Might be able to help you with a surplus, well used CZ82 if you are in southern Minnesota.View attachment 761758

My favorite has to be the P07 .40. Carried one for over 10 years till I switched to a Shield Plus 9MM OR. The reason I switched was the Shield is almost as accurate as the P07 and the Shield Plus uses the same magazines as my wife's carry gun (Equalizer).

The P09 9MM is more accurate than the P07, which is really saying something.

I did carry a CZ75 Compact and a P01 Omega for awhile but went back to the P07 .40.

If you haven't been a CZ fan for several years you won't know about how few pistol models they make these days compared to 5 years ago or so. No more stainless steel CZ75's. No more CZ85's. No more CZ75 SAO. No more carry sized .40 S&W. No Rami. No Omega CZ75 or P01. No idea why the pistols I liked so much are mostly gone now. Only the CZ75 Compact and CZ75B in the metal framed pistols. The last three CZs I've brought home were discontinued models I ran across at gun shows.
Going to polymer is my guess, I started with a C&R license and thought the CZ 82 was neat looking. I bought 100 rounds of Military 9X18 MM also. Put a silhouette target up at 25 yards and shot all 12 rounds IN THE RED KILL ZONE What? I ordered six more. That led to the P-01, 75b,P-09, 75 D Compact, 75 Compact, P-01 Omega, 97b, P-09 Nocturne, P-10C, TS2 IMG_2074 - Copy.JPGand the P-10F in .45. The last are the Polymers, which I'm not as enamored of as I am the all metal ones, but they are still CZ's and they are reliable and accurate,IMG_3453.JPGIMG_3403.JPG

In my case:
1. CZ-24-with holster and spare magazine, WaA stamps. Clunky by our standards, solidly built, good shooter
2. CZ 511. Great shooter but those magazines are unobtainium.

What do you think of the Nocturne? I've handled the compact version, just not sure enough to spend the money, I am happy with my PCR's and steel compacts.

I love my CZ’s…

…but in no way are CZ’s the best tech pistols from the Czech Republic.

My wife of forty years is Czech we visited once and I’ve always admired the CZ pistol but never fired one,My son has a Turkish Girsan and it shoots well for a relatively low priced pistol, lately I’ve preferred the optic mounted pistol

Back in 1956 I trapped and shot enough rabbits to provide sufficient funds to purchase my first Bruno - the original CZ - .22 rifle. It was manufactured in 1937 and stayed with me for many years. It was always a pleasure, and very accurate to shoot. and I only parted with it recently for the princely sum of $950. :)

Just came into a very nice 75B SAO a couple of weeks ago, upgraded hi-viz front sight and nice wood panels with the original sight and grip panels in the original box - with both original mags and all the original parts for 500 it was a great Sunday afternoon gun show snag from a seller trying to liquidate. I was pretty happy to see one of these close to NIB, especially having been out of production for a few years now, and the price sealed the deal.

Grabbed this one initially to replace the standard 75B I let go of some time back and may actually prefer this one - it's a sweetheart in the hand. :)

My youngest son has a CZ75 SA and loves it. If he takes more than one pistol to the range he'll only shoot a magazine or two through them and go back to the CZ75 SA. When I ask him why he's not shooting the Beretta or CZ P07 more his answer is, "But dad, you know I like shooting small groups." Just gotta smile. I know what he means.

A few of my Czech favorites.

75BD Back when they discontinued them in blued finish I picked up this one and had it sent to CZ Custom for trigger work and a fiber front sight.

Is that 452 full stock gun original factory or is that a custom built stock.
