Today I was going through a box of old junk and came across this Daisy Dollar.
Back in the 1950's one of my birthday presents was a Daisy BB gun. It came with a Daisy Dollar. The BB gun is long gone but finding that dollar brought back memories from across time. I was so proud of that BB gun. I and must have shot a ton of BBs through it plinking at everything imaginable. Carrying that gun, I imagined myself a cowboy, an Indian scout and a sharp shooter. I carried the Daisy Dollar in the pocket of my jeans and pretended that I had just been paid after a long cattle drive.
It's probably not worth anything in terms of real money but to me it is worth a fortune in memories from a time when life was not all that serious and the world was willing to offer all that we could dream.
