Damn small parts!

This morning I did a complete sweep of the shop area where I work on guns. I made several passes under the aluminum dust pan of the sweepings with a fair sized rare earth magnet. I found nothing of interest. I keep the area there fairly organized and wipe the bench area down before doing anything and sweep the floor as the mill and lathe are behind me and a drill press is to the left. I vacuum the mill and lathe beds and benches both as I use them and when I finish. if there are many chips. My small tools are hanging on a shelf on the back of bench or in a sticking in 2x12 with a bunch of holes in it that sits on my granite slab. I have 2 of the small magnetic dished. I always place the gun on a couple of modified hockey pucks to hold it steady, I put a big green shop rag under the pucks, I also have a small vise I put aluminum jaws in handy. But, I also know that somewhere not far away are couple side plate screws, a sight tang screw, a trigger return spring and a bolt plunger. You would think that eventually they would show up. LOL. Another thing I have misplaced is a package of 5 of the .039 replaceable punch tips.

I have 3 plastic trays about 8x12 with dividers. I have screws, springs bolt plungers, return springs, main springs, hammers triggers, sight bodies, yokes, pins, bunch of .050 drills to make more pins, hammer trigger and yoke shims, sight screws etc. But, I can always manage to somehow lose a screw or spring I do not have LOL
