Yesterday I posted about this 34-1 and went back and bought it with the Brauer Bros H22 Leather Holster. Couldn't talk it down in price so paid the $475.00 and when he gets time will look and see if the box and papers are buried in the house somewhere. Here is a better picture, Hasn't shot much.

Ok now this morning I get to another yard sale and see another Smith in a velvet case. This should actually be in the auto file, but will show it here.
It turns out it is a nice Mdl 41 in 5.5" with extra clip in the case. $475.00. SOLD SOLD and I pay the man and smile all the way home. SN# A5727xx. Maybe early 80's??????
A little later I go by the sale again and think I will stop in and ask if he has the box and papers. He says Not that he knows of, then says let me go look. In about 20 minutes he comes back and hands me the original box and papers for the 41. Again I'm all smiles.
enjoy

Keep stopping at yard sales.Your luck is getting better.

Allen in MT,

I can't tell if you're taunting us or trying to give us hope there are still deals like these out there. Those are great, scoundrel-like, deals on nice guns. Montana yard sales certainly trump Kansas "estate sales", which should probably be more accurately described as "the left-over-junk-we-couldn't-give-away-sales." The last estate sale I attended was selling partially full Elmer's wood glue with about 1-2 ounces left in the bottle for 0.50 cents each. I tried to contain my enthusiasm.

They don't come along to often, the last time I asked at a sale about guns I come home with a 17-4 and 48-4 both with 83/8" barrels in great shape for a total of $750.00. They weren't out at the sale but I always ask. Just the luck of the draw I guess.

Don't step a foot in your house till you clean off the bottom of your shoes.
I think you stepped in something. Now go buy a lotto ticket.

Here in New Hampshire you can find them occasionally...I ask if they have any hunting equipment...??? I tell them I am a hunter and a police officer and I collect guns and gun books etc....bought some decent stuff....we still have our freedom here....private sales are still ok.....Live Free or Die NH!

Here in the formerly great State of California, selling or buying firearms at a yard sale is strictly verboten!

Swat team time for certain.

However I did find a Pen 706 in excellent condition at such a sale, just needing a clean and lube for... $3. :)
