When would an AUCXXXX 25-5 be made? What would a 99% (no box ) six inch example sell for? Thanks.

The serial # AUC should be from 1987 maybe late 1986.

No box but true 99% ?

This would mean the gun is unfired with NO handling marks.
99% guns are few and far between.

There are fine specimens of late 80's
6 inch 25-5s sitting on auction sites
now for $900. to $1000. asking with no bids.
use this as your guide whether buying or selling.

A 4" model 25-5 in true high condition (98%)
will sell for $1000. and up.

It is amazing how much 2 inches of barrel make as to the
desirability of a N frame Smith revolver.

As far as shooting a model 25 in 45 Colt I would rather shoot
a 6 inch.
Longer sight radius and more controllable with the longer barrel length.

Good luck

Ok Thanks.

The gun has no box , orginal grips has no blue wear and does not any use. Dont know if its unfired or not. There is no box. I took the grips off and they are marked 1987 inside.

I was asking about going SELLING prices on the gun I described.

Also, when did S&W corrected the cylinder problem of 25-5?

THANK YOU.
