I'm helping a friend out by selling his SW K3 14-3 revolver, a sweet piece.
I'm trying to get the ad together & have a question about its date.

The owner says he was told it was manufactured around 1977-1979.
Serial # on the box matches the serial # on the gun: "1K31831"

What caught my eye is that inside the box lid is printed a:
"Statement of Liability"
&
"Warranty" Statement.
Dated 1955.
Also, inside the box is also a Warranty Card a buyer can fill out & mail to SW.
Dated 1955.
Pics included below hopefully.

I didn't know whether the date that is on the inside of the box lid & the card has no relationship to the date of manufacture.
Perhaps it is just the date SW started printing those 2 statements on the box & the date on the Warranty card (like a copyright date)???

I want to verify that all the "Statements" that are printed on the inside of the box & on the Warranty Card that's sent in have nothing to do with the current date just incase you gun is mid 50s.

Thanks for any clarification you can provide!
I've never tried posting here that I'm aware of so I don't know if the images will appear.
I have read many things here from links reading my gun club in Indiana: INGO.
Especially appreciated reading about SW 3rd Gen handguns.
I've had two 5906, a 4006 (with coveted adjustable rear sights) & presently have a 6946.
