Daughter could use your prayers. UPDATE: See Posts #49 & 63!

My prayers were sent both for your daughter and you and your wife as well. God is there and he does listen.

Another update: NG tube was removed last night and Jamie was restored to a regular diet. Of all the intestinal blockages she has had in the past, and there have been a lot, this one was by far the worst. Jamie is a dialysis patient, and because her kidney function is so low (around 10%), controlling phosphorous and potassium levels is an issue. To control these two substances, the dialysis center gave Jamie a medicine to take with her meals. This substance literally binds to the phosphorous and potassium to carry it away with the waste, thus keeping it out of the blood stream. Unfortunately, it was also responsible for the blockage, so other methods of controlling these levels will have to be found.

It's possible Jamie could be released in as few as two days, depending upon any residual effects. Thanks again for your prayers, and thanks to God and Jesus for their divine intervention.

More great news!! And if she's released, she'll feel even better, I bet. Just being at home can have a huge restorative effect.

I'm sure we are all continuing to keep Jamie in our thoughts and prayers. Hoping for even more positive updates!

UPDATE: Just got a call and after more than 10 days with an NG tube, it appears the blockage is loosening up and starting to come out. Not out of the woods yet, but in the past this has always been the sign we waited for. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart for your prayers, and thank you God once again for sparing my daughter!

That is great news. Maybe praying for the folks treating her as well as her worked as a double whammy.
