I have prayed for Melissa and her children and those involved in her healthcare as well as the person responsible for the shooting.

My sister just texted me to tell me that. It's probably the same story the Lockport NBC affiliate ran, but she said she recorded it and will send it to me.
The older daughter is going to hospital this morning and will give us an update later today.

edited to add: I saw the local news video. It has some really nice pictures of Melissa. She looks just like her mother.

I wish her a speedy and successful recover. Don't know the circumstances, but I hope the shooter gets what he deserves.

Worked with a guy who was raised in the Elko area of Nevada. He once said to me that he still wasn't comfortable with the idea of neighbors he could actually see from his property. He felt that cramming humans together in cities was a VERY bad idea. Once again he has been proven correct.
