Success! I had no trouble at all removing the decocker, swapping in a nice new Wolff extra power firing pin spring, and getting the whole thing back together. I was lucky, the spring on the decocker almost seemed like it wanted to go right back in the hole in the frame. A little screwdriver was all it took to line it up correctly.
At this point, now that I know I can change the fp spring and clean the channel on my own, I will likely leave the pistol in its current configuration.
After thinking about it a bit, why spend money to undo what some people went out of their way to accomplish...
