I must thank Arik for coming up with this wonderfully subtle dig at one of the many accepted "facts" regarding firearms in another thread. It set me thinking so here are a few non-facts that many cling to, some of which are not about firearms. Feel free to contribute. 
1) 45 ACP should only be fired from a 1911 derived pistol.
2) 1911s should only be chambered in 45 ACP.
3) A vehicle without a frame can never be called a truck.
4) The Browning Hi Power is ergonomic perfection.
