I have a model 29 with the red front sight that has faded. I would like it replaced. Does anyone know you can do this?
The gun is a nickel model 29 4 screw. The ramp is the dull black ramp and is pinned. I will replace both the ramp and red sight if the correct part can be bought or just the red plastic part which is preferable.

You can do it yourself for less than 10 bucks... I did this pre-29 and it came out great. I wouldn't waste much time with a "kit" unless you like to waste $...

This was my first try... I used clear epoxy mixed with testors paint. I sliced up an old credit card and used it as a guide. Be sure to coat the parts you don't want the epoxy to stick to, like the "guides" with some wax (I used Ren wax)... Trim to your liking carefully with a razor.. Be sure to mix up a test batch to get the color correct. It takes VERY little paint to tint the clear epoxy..
