Did I buy a 2nd gen slide?

Sold as a 3rd gen, but when it got here, has a removable barrel bushing, and the front sight is machined as part of the slide, both like my 439 slide. I saw the front sight, but couldn't see the bushing in the pics.

Was sold as adv sight 5906, but is it a 659 slide? lower slide in the pics. WTS S&W 5906,669 uppers 6906 barrel mags

Yep it is a 659 top end.

You don’t need it but here’s a comparative image of a 659 and 5906.

No it’ll be fine on a 5906 lower but as you said it’s not a 5906 upper.

If the barrel bushing isn't any real difference accuracy wise, I'll keep it then. My standard sight 5906 upper will likely get sent out for an optics cut, that's why I grabbed this one. I monkey around with different loads, so the adj sights are prefered.
