Did I miss a great deal? (Model 36)

Ok, I had a line on a Model 36, manufactured in '82, no box, looked to be about 98%, for $400. I moved a little too slow and missed it. I was a little on the fence because I'm primarily looking for k-frame snubs right now. But I'm still going to be upset if I missed a true smoking good deal. Thoughts?

Well, for what my 2 cents is worth, for $400 bucks, and at 98% as you said, I would say you missed the chance.

Here, that would not be a smokin' deal. In fact, that would be about the high end, most places. I've seen two nice ones in the past month at $300 and 325, and the cheaper one was the nicer of the two! Too bad a paycheck was still 10 days away.
