Did We Ever Do An LE Marked 3rd Gen Thread?

I was going to post my NYPD 3914DAO although strictly speaking it's not marked for the department. I plead that since NYPD is the only agency that over authorized them, it's a police only gun.

I also have a 6946, but it's not a police issue. Oh, it's Fall River. Home of the USS Massachusetts museum.

Anyway, here's my 3914DAO that was actually owned by a NYPD officer.

And finally here's the 2 guns I'm actually carrying on a regular basis.

1st is this 3914DAO. These were made specifically for the NYPD.

2nd is this 6946 from 1995 and was issued to Falls River Massachusetts PD.

First is a 5903TSW from California.

I would say it is unissued.

Next is a 5926 from the Chandler AZ Police Dept. It is in decent shape.
I cant remember what I paid for it or how long I've had it.

I have pictures of my 2 CHP 4006TSWs but I can't find them at the moment. I also have pictures of a 1076 issued to Kernersville NC PD. It has no LE markings, but a former office allowed me to take pictures of it.

LE 3rd Gens

Hopefully no one is bored seeing the CHP 4006TSW yet. Today I replaced the straight backstrap grip with the curved version; it feels good but a trip to the range is probably the best way to verify comfort.
I also installed the OEM lanyard loop typically seen on the 5906 "MODELO MILITAR" (thank you member abbyonheyward!) Easy installation since the grip hole is already there, and it's held in place by the stock pin. There was a slight gap between it and the grip which looked odd to me, so I filled it in with a rubber o-ring.
The Bianchi holster pic is a few weeks older as I was too lazy to take a new one with the replacement grip installed. Thanks to member TennVol for the nice duty leather. It helps reinforce the Law Enforcement look.

Idaho State Police. The 4586 was the agency's first semi-auto pistol after 52 years of carrying revolvers (1939-1991). The 4586 was not popular with many of the Troopers and ISP switched to Glock in 2001. Dad carried this particular specimen for the last three years of his career. When he retired in 94 it was gifted to him and I inherited it a few years ago when he passed away. It's a keeper and it's still a very good shooter.

I just got a CHP 4006TSW. Once I figure out how to post pictures from my smart phone to my Chromebook I'll post some. Got from CDNN listed as Good/Very Good condition. I'd say I got a Very Good condition one, it has the original S&W grips on it, not the aftermarket grips as stated in the ad, so I am quite happy with it. This is only the 2nd .40 caliber handgun I own. I recently purchased a Sig P229 in .40 used. I was surprised how much recoil there was vs. the 228 in 9mm. But in the 4006TSW, recoil was quite manageable. I enjoyed seeing all you guys cool ex-LEO pistols. Thank you.

I now have two ex-LE 3rd gens. The first is a 5926 which wasn't quite department-issued but I'm told belonged to a CADOJ agent, so I'm assuming it was his own approved personal weapon. I just started the transfer on a 5906TSW which the seller told me was a police trade-in but he didn't know what department. Couldn't find any factory engravings on the side but I did see some unintelligible chicken scratch etched into both the dust cover of the frame and the barrel itself and what looked like a really faded number on the other side. I'd like to figure out which department issued it but I'm not willing to shell out for a factory letter just yet.
