**Called Smith this morning, indeed they changed the base pads and retaining plates.**

I bought my magazines back in 2012 and early 2013 as the stupid law changed in Colorado limiting us to 15 rounds in new purchase mags at the end of July 2013. I recently got a VTAC 9 and wanted to put the fde base pads on my older mags since the pistol came to me without any mags-silly I know but so what lol.

I called Smith and they sent me 3 base pads at no charge. Well the only problem is that the new ones have the locking hole in the center and my mags have the locking notch at the rear of the base pads.

Let S&W know what type of basepad locking plate you need, or order below.

Send me your address via PM and I'll throw however many you want into an envelope. I've changed all my base pads to hi cap ones and I have a box full of the locking plates (and basepads and springs) that I will never use. :D
