Dillon 750 pre-purchase questions

thanks again for the continued thoughts.

Yes, all loading can be done on a single stage, no doubt. I'm just at the point where I want something faster and more efficient. I might or might not shoot at the volumes necessary, but for me, I'm just at the point where I want to get a progressive press.

I am 99% decided on the Dillon 750. Just want to make sure I have everything understood and purchased correctly so that I can start out as smoothly as possible.

A lot of times I will run out 50-100 on my 550. I apparently don't shoot as much as some of any particular cartridge, so I rarely run thousands at a time. Exception is 9mm and 40 S&W, where I will run out 500 at a time to replenish inventory.

Personallyt I think you have your ideas lined up right. Contrary to what others have said...you can use a 750 or even a 1050/1100 just as fast or as slow as you want. I had a SDB...it loaded good ammo BUT it is a small machine. Too small for my somewhat large fangers and to me it was kind of restricting. When I load on my 750 or 1050 I don't go full speed ahead.. I just kinda loaf along and stop when I want go get some refreshments or trip to the necessary and come back to it. Seldom load a 1000 at a timd so while I take a break I load up more primer tubes refill powder and get more components out. I do load my 223s on a 550C as they seem to take a bit more concentration to suit my mind. Just me but many people do load 223 on the 650/750 machines. Go for the 750. I doubt you will be unhappy. Oh and if you keep the machine in good repair and do take care of it...you can always get all or most of your investment back if not happy. I have not lost a cent on any Dillon
