Several months ago, I read in a thread here where a fello took the right grip off a Model 41, pulled out the magazine disconnector and spring, ground down the finger that enters the magazine chamber and reinserted the disconnector without the spring. I can't find the thread now and wonder if anybody can confirm this proceedure to disable the disconnector? Please, no lectures on why not to do this on a bullseye Pistol. Thanks, Jim

Thanks Len. I have studied that link before along with one on complete dissassembly/reassembly of the 41. Both of these were very helpful. My question centers around replacing the ground down disconnector so as to provide a guide for the tail end of the trigger bar. It doesn't seem correct to just pull the disconnector and leave the trigger bar loose to wiggle around at the tail end. Thanks for your help. Jim

Putting pressure on the disconnector-spring normally is done by turning it anti-clockwise. By doing it clockwise then the disconnector is lifted upwards even without a magazine. If I remember it correctly.
