Disaster averted - 4506 RailGun

You did an amazing job!
The guy wanting to put a rail on that collectable 4506 should be slapped and drug behind a horse in the dead of winter, horrible and stupid decision!
Here's an idea, buy a cheap plastic gun that has a rail already?
Some people.

Now that sound like fun hahahah....

I have for a very long time put up with cheap plastic and im just done with it, hence this project, traditional DA/SA in one heck of a package.

Personally I don't consider a 4506-1 a collector as it's was mass produced, collector would be something like a WVSP4566TSW that I carried before this....

To each is own...

Great information here I hope my mistake helps someone else..

If you look at any T handle tap wrench it will have a 60° center pocket cut in the top...

Not my #4066 Craftsman tap wrench. I suppose I can remedy that though with care.

That's to accept the pointy end of this tool, a spring loaded tap guide...

And where does one purchase one of those widgets?

Can usually find Starrett tap wrenches on ebay for reasonable prices, Starrett 93A, B, and C. 93A being the smallest is the one in the image above. The tap guide I showed is a vintage Brown & Sharpe tool.

Spring loaded tap guides can be found there too.

I often find myself scrounging around on ebay for some obscure Starrett or vintage Brown & Sharpe machine or metrology tool.

You can also find those tools on Amazon and at the big industrial supply houses such as McMaster-Carr, MSC Industrial, Travers Tool, and Penn Tool Co. among others.

Cheers
