Hand in there. I had a 40 caliber M&P I had to send back to Smith 4 times before they fixed it. They finally did though.
I always inspect my (potential) new firearm before putting my money on the counter. There have only been a couple pistols I've refused over the years, but if they do pull a gun I don't think is up to par, I don't feel bad in asking to see another from stock. My Shield was defect free.
As mentioned, remember that it IS the Holidays and they may, or may not be geared down for the last couple weeks. They'll make it right.
It might take that long. I e mailed CS about ordering a pinky extension for my 40C & got a response the same day. He told me they'd ship it right away free of charge. It took about a month before a pack of two arrived. Hang in there. After the this holiday week is over they'll have a backlog.still nothing yet, im going to give until Friday before I call them. it shouldn't take this long to send me a shipping label.
There are lighter weight all metal Smiths made when the quality was right , right out of the box. I have a pristine model 59 if you are interested, but it would cost more than a plastic gun.
