I am 100% Arkie since 1953. Beyond that I really don't much care.
Wow! I'll bet you were devastated when you found out that you have no American Indian blood.
Both my Dad and my Uncle Roy told me that we're Blackfoot. They taught me some phrases, words and a few stories.
It had been a family secret since both of them could pass for what was known as "Black Irish." Even though the Irish were discriminated against back in my Dad's generation, it still wasn't as back as being an Injun.
I'm not sure why but I show my Injuness more than they did.
I know a guy that divorced his good looking wife and married an Indian in Oklahoma so he wouldn't have to work.
I wonder just how accurate the DNA test really are? Anyone know?
My brother and I both sent ours in to ancestry at the same time.
Our results were very different - I am 50% western European and he is 50% British. The only thing that was the same was 13% Scandinavian. But the results showed us as full siblings.
The other 1/3 of mine looks like a list of peoples enslaved by the Roman empire.
That's like yesterday in DNA terms. But I encourage you to skip it.
Not the government. For many years the mormans have been collecting DNA from all over the world and they are the ones running the DNA sites. Nothing against the mormans here. Just not sure why they want all the samples along with the seed storage in the artic. Just out of curiosity I looked up my Father's name on acestry.com and the info. Was wrong. When I asked them about it I was told that the accuracy of the info. Is up to the one putting it in and that they are not responsible for it. How confident would you be about tracing your ancestry on such a site. Just saying.I've often wondered if the government gets that DNA information and then puts it into a data bank. Just wondering
If they tell you that you are Italian -Indian are you a Wopaho
Mine said I was 73% non-human of undertermined origin.
Strange . . . I look human. Well, mostly anyway.
