One of my sons looks almost exactly like I do. His son looks almost exactly as he does.
One day, my son took my then 6-year old grandson up to me and said to him, "See Grandpa? That's what you're going to look like when you're old!"![]()
Cabeza de Vaca washed ashore from a shipwreck on
what is now Galveston Island.
The only thing he "found" was that he was lost.
My kin-folks did not show up until 300 years later.

unless you have a crazy illness - i fail to see the value of such a test. your dna may be used against you when you need/desire healthcare. if you don't think that info is shared...think again.
seems like a risky novelty to me.

What about the guys that got a DNA kit and swabbed a Bullfrog and sent it in . They got a report back with all sorts of ancestry from all over the world . Kind of makes you doubt some of these labs .
I was working on my laptop and looked up at the TV and saw the news story . The TV was muted and I didn't get all the details . But I saw them swab the Frog and they had some paperwork showing the results . True ? I don't know . Plenty of scam sites out there .I got $5 and a Bud 2x4 says that didn't happen . . .
Oh I dunno... An 11% match to a wealthy Nigerian prince is pretty excitingI've had 3 different DNA tests and there are discrepancies among them like you wouldn't believe.
I don't want to take a DNA test.
I'm afraid I might fail it.........![]()
Sigh. Ancestry has never been owned by the Church of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). While the company had been offering free access to Ancestry.com at LDS Family History Centers, that service was terminated on March 17, 2007, because the company and the LDS Church were unable to reach a mutually agreeable licensing agreement. In 2010, Ancestry restored access to its site at Family History Centers.
I had an aunt who liked to pinch my cheeks and make me submit to a kiss from my little second cousin. No desire to discover more relatives.
