I took one of my guns (an M37 that was getting light strikes) into a local gunsmith's shop today for some work.

After dropping it off, I check to see what he had in his consignment showcase.

There sat a M242Ti -- looked to be in perfect condition with practically no turn line.

I posted a few months ago that I had bought a 242Ti and liked it a lot. Fun and easy to shoot.

Never thought I'd run across another.

But there it was for $775.

That's less than I paid for the one I already have.

But do I need another?

Maybe need is the wrong word. :)

OF course you need another...if you can afford it. This way you can shoot one and save the other for quality time in your safe. A clean M242Ti is a pretty rare find. I love mine and consider it a keeper.

According to an article in an old magazine directed at retailers, there are 4 reasons for retail purchases:

1. Acquisition
2. Vanity/Pride of Ownership
3. Dreams and Imagination

4. Need.

If a retailer based his sales pitch on need, he would soon go out of business. You don't really need the 242, YOU GOTTA HAVE IT! At least buy it so my buddy KLYDE doesn't walk off with it.
