Do M&P sights fit the SD40VE?

I'm thinking about upgrading the factory sights on my SD40VE to tritium night sights. Does the​ sights sold for regular SD or M&P models fit the VE?
I tried using the search feature and it keeps shutting down on me. Any info or comments are very much appreciated. Thanks

Yes. You will also need a sight press for the front sight if you are wanting to do the work yourself. A gunsmith hammer and punch set isn't gonna budge it. I've tried.

Don't forget the set screw for the rear sight, if one is needed!

Agree with all comments. A sight pusher is the way to go. Also, be aware that the rear sight goes out to the right (toward the ejection port) and back in from the same direction. (The dovetail groove is tapered!).

I've removed sights with a wooden block and a hammer, but a sight pusher is much friendlier to the finish and to the sights. Especially true for night sights, which have little vials of tritium that are liable to be broken if subjected to hammering -- using a punch, a piece of brass, or a block of wood.

Get a sight pusher! The standard one made by MGW for the M&P works for the SD's, and can be sold pretty easily on the forum or ebay after you are done with it. (But you may never really be done with it, if you buy more S&W M&Ps and SD's).
