Do only "old"guys edc revolvers

My 686+ with its Lobo IWB is my preferred EDC lately....and I'm a heavily aged 35. The 686 carries comfortably and I have full confidence in it. If not the 686, its a Colt Commander or, if it's a suit day, a Colt Detective Special. I've played with various Sigs, Glocks, Springfields and I'm fine with shooting them, nothing wrong with the platforms, but they are just not comfortable for me to conceal.

I'm definitely dragging out my Shostle engraved 60 no dash as soon as I can find some "quality" leather. Seriously (at the risk of high jacking this thread) I would love to know if you ever did any research on your Ben Shostle gun. I am trying (with little results so far) to track down more info on this founder of FEGA, Master Engraver from Muncie Indiana. His daughter Donata is evidently still around but don't know if any old records were kept. I saw another Shostle engraved S&W on the I-net that had a certificate describing the work and the stocks signed and dated by Ben, but cannot get mine tracked very far. What are the stocks on yours (horn, antler?). The Rocky Mountain Big Horn Ram grips on mine are marked Ajax M-21, so I don't know if Ben Shostle ordered them for the engraving he did on commission, or someone added later, but they are solid, extremely well fitting (looks like hand work...no gaps anywhere).

These are the scrimshaw ivory grips that came on my 29-2. I started to try and sell them until my research on Mr. Shostle told me that the "bb" signature was his and was on other grips/knife handles that he had done.

I've listened to many conversations, arguments etc. concerning revolver vs autos and age factors. Bottom line is "can you shoot what you carry or keep in your home". I think sometime we spend more time talking and in some cases no time practicing. These same guys couldn't a 6in. plate at 7 yds. no matter what they shoot. I see these guys shoot and hope they never get into a situation--no one is safe. Practice, practice make that weapon part of you, Make yourself proficient, confident that if the **** comes you can and will protect yourself and your family.

I see the vast majority of the younger crowd gravitate towards pistols these days and why not, right? After all they have to offer. Capacity, caliber and they just look cool.

To me, stainless steel snubbie revolvers look way more cool than plastic pistols, particularly ugly Glocks.

My co-workers and I recently started "Six-gun Sundays" at the gun shop we work at. I carry my 1954 Highway Patrolman, one co-worker carries a pre-14 K38 masterpiece, and the other carries a Colt Police Positive. We're also playing with the idea of "Wild West Wednesdays"... The three of us are around 22-23, so we're not old, but I feel like it sometimes.

That's a high riding holster. Who made that?

I'm older than most here. 85 to be exact. Been shooting since 1944. I've had most pistols both autos & revolvers since that time. Love my Luger & Ruger's but when push comes to shove my 638 comes out shooting, never a problem. My 686 is too big to carry & my 44's are in holsters. MY NAA 22 is in my shirt pocket most when camping & metal detecting. Snake shot in 3 & LR's in 2. Revolvers never let me down.

I'm only 30 so I don't consider myself as old, but I guess to someone 18 and younger I am. Anyways I've carried a S&W 642 as a back up on my ankle for the past 6 years. I just recently picked up a 442 that I intend to to do the same with. If I'm just running into town to pick up a few small items for the grocery store I'll grab one of the two and throw in my pocket.
