Do yo have an exercise regime?

I have a home gym. It consist of 440#s of rubberized weights,Rogue rig,rower,lifting platform,Dumbbells and kettle bells and gymnastics rings. I follow CrossFit and do the workouts they post. I have an Olympic lifting background.
 
I have reached the point that I can't not work out , or I'll rapidly fall apart.

At gym will do 30-40min of high intensity interval on the elipitical. ( For years I did VaCav's treadmill at incline , but eventually it caused shin splints , so I switched.) Followed by 20-30 min of various weight machines.

My goals in rotating priority are weight , fitness , and real world fitness. Having recently dropped 35lb , further weight per se is secondary. Real world hiking used different muscles in different combinations that working out in gym. Now have a semi-regular itinary of 9.5mi of basically level. Days of hiking take the place of gym work outs. Of course once I was feeling froggy with my level ground hiking , I was humbled by hiking in the mtns. Not able to go there regularily , but hope to go back to same trail later this summer to gage my progress.
 
I do a two mile walk at a nearby lake seven days a week. also lot's of weed and grass cutting.77 yrs old.

I don't know if you'd call it a real exercise regime, but after I roll out of bed, get dressed, shave, have breakfast, etc., I head out to the barn and start moving hay bales around, feed horse and mules, and fill water troughs. After feeding farm dog and barn cats. I head out to the hen house, take care of stuff out there...then head out to the vegetable garden, water, weed, and harvest anything that needs harvesting...then weed some more. (Ugh!)

Next, depending on the day, I'll either head out to the orchard or my mini-woodlot and take care of the watering there. This time of year, I'm also thinking about the woodshed that needs filling...so sawing, splitting, stacking will sometimes take up part of the morning, too.

By that time, it's pushing noon, and I'm starting to drag.

So, to be honest, I guess I don't have an exercise regime...but whatever it is I do for the first four hours or more each morning sure as heck has me breathing hard by the time I make it back to the house for dinner.

It must work because I'm only seven pounds heavier than when I was in college...and I'm sixty-six.

And when ya got equines... it is every, dang day. No days off. The equines would not understand if ya missed a day. Keepin' horses and mules... it's an ABSOLUTE commitment.
 
With 3 hip replacements (one done a second time when the first one failed), shoulder replacement, pins and screws in ankle, knee, wrist, and elbow I'm limited what I can actually do. I figure I have a finite number of steps per week so I limit my exercise to 2 USPSA pistol matches per week and 2-4 days at the practice range. That about uses up my steps. :D (I do get some upper body exercises pulling the handle on my Dillon to feed my "exercise program".
 
Nope,,,I'm retired!;) All the extra curricular stuff that I did during my working career didn't count, so "they" say? Well anyway I'm not starting now! ;)

Miss Pam's brother and his family live on a nice 5 acre plot just north of the big city and they bought a horse...mostly for the kids.

They started off with a Shetland pony and thing was as mean as a snake. Hated every thing and every one. Love to bite any one that came close enough to feed him. First time he bit one of the kids the got rid of him. Then they bought a regular size horse but found the expense to be unbearable. Had to call the vet out a couple of times a month and was always needing some special medication. Got a hind leg tangled up in a barbed wire fence and tore all the tendons and ligaments beyond repair. Had to put him down.

They now live in the country on about 30 acres but you won't see any horses inside his fence.
