Do you carry a flash light every day?

I wear my Utility Belt-MiniMaglite, Buck 110, lately an older Leatherman tool.

I currently carry a Streamlight Protac 2aaa at night. During the day, a small keychain unit and my cellphone. I used to own several Surefires, but I found them overly bulky for summer carry and found myself leaving them at home. Plus I didn't care for the inconvenience and price of cr123's.

I just don't like to carry a lot of bulky/heavy gear. I can carry the Protac 2aaa is a shirt lapel pocket since it's really no more dufficult to carry in that manner than a metal body pen, which I carry in that location during the day. I also require that a dedicated flashlight also be a capable impact weapon/kubotan and the Protac is one without being overly weaponized like my Surefire E2D LED defender was.

I also have a Protac 2aa I sometimes carry in the winter, but it usually pulls utility and home defense duty. I used to have a couple of 1" Surefire and Streamlight lights outfitted with Surefire Combat Rings, but have come to prefer the slimmer body flashlights for use in conjunction with a firearm. I also have a couple of 3D maglites that I keep around the house and in the car.

Yes, I carry at least one flashlight every day. Daytime: Olight S2 Baton. Nighttime: Acebeam X45vn boosted by Vinh54 to 25,000 lumens. Or two Acebeam X65vn, one in each hand for a thrilling nighttime walk. Or Thrunite TN42vn. Or rotate an oldie but goodie to carry.

My TK75 holster is much bigger than my 500 S&W holster. And much much bigger than my 40 Shield holster. All of the friendly folks on three of my nightly six mile walking routes know that I pack one or more high performance flashlights. Only one knows for sure that I carry a pistol to defend myself from real threat that really exists when walking in nice, single family residential neighborhoods.

My notable flashlights: Acebeam: two X65Vn, X45vn70.2. Eagletac: MX25L4CvnT XP-L. Fenix: TK75vnQ70. Manker: MK34Vn XPL.
Nitecore: TM06Svn 4 x XHP50.2. Noctigon: Meteor M43vn XP-L dd. P60vn: Quad XP-L HD 2 cell host Cryos Cu head. Thrunite; TN36UTvn, TN42vn.

I have posted my gun and light pics in the flashlight forum that I am active in; maybe I will post same in this forum, too, when I search for and find the correct topic thread.

A strobe will also change most traffic lights from red to green.
So, do you do this on a regular basis? Traffic lights around here last about a minute. How impatient do you need to be to even attempt this? And then, do you hang your arm out the window with your flashlight on strobe?

EDC: easy daily carry

Yes I carry a light daily, a surefire titan AAA clipped to the edge of my wallet. Everything in the picture is carried in my two front blue jeans pockets. No muss no fuss easy all day comfortable carry.

Do you carry a flash light every day?
Since I was 10 years old, I've carried a pocket knife. It's just something I've always done. They are extremely useful.

...

I just recently started carrying a flashlight. Took me a while to find the right one, but I did. I discovered that I was either wishing I had one or borrowing one from a friend quite often.
...

Yes. I do. (Ditto the pocketknife, too, except I usually carry at least 2 of them. ;) )

During my plainclothes assignment I found myself in far too many places that were pitch dark - during daylight hours - to ever want to risk finding myself without a pocket light of some sort, ever again.

As the technology improved enough to become not only dependable, but affordable, I found myself settling on using either one of a couple of FourSevens Mini's , but then a Fenix E15. I was going through 123A batteries (I find myself using the light virtually everyday), so I ordered the charger and a couple of the rechargeable batteries it uses. It also pumps out more lumens with the rechargeable battery.

Now, I can have a 2.5" light in my pocket which can put out 450 lumens, for a very affordable price, which is better than what I was able to carry for anywhere near that price before I retired. :)

Fenix E15 LED Flashlight 2016 Edt. - Fenix-Store

I still try to keep a couple of 12-packs of 123A batteries on hand for the pair of FourSevens Mini's I have as backups, and the other lights I own which use 2-4 of the 123A batteries, but which aren't small enough to be pocketable (for me). They usually serve as Yard/Property lights, (letting me illuminate down to the river on one side of our property), and as "travel" lights.

Hard to beat a little pocket light and a pocket knife for being handy, though. Those pocketable items can make for a basic level of "preparedness" for a surprising number of tasks and problems that might occur.

I don't normally carry on me but have a ton of flashlights and keep a few in my truck and others in the garage and house. I just wish I could find a solar powered one with at least 200+ lumens. Replacing batteries is always a drag to keep up with.

A NiteCore MH12 1000 lumens with strobe .. Rechargeable .. Carried on off side next to my extra mag ..

D cell Maglite (can be used as a defensive weapon )plus 2 smaller flashlights in each Jeep .. At least one flash light in each room in a handi location ..

I have a mini mag light in my camera bag, battery is probably dead. I have a dozen or so of the plastic $1.00 Ozark Trail (China) LED flashlights scattered around the house, including kitchen, den, office, music room, and autos. The batteries last a long time and it's cheaper to buy new lights than replace the batteries. I don't have a decent flashlight to carry though.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Streamlight nano on keychain

Streamlight aaa in pocket every day

Nightcore mt2a on bedside next to wheelgun

Fenix p2d in every go back/truck bag

Living rural where there are no street lights, flashlights are a must. Even the town is one of those dark cities. zero steeet lights.

Nope,
I carry a mag light in my truck and one on my car along with small first aid kits.
Carry a high intensity pen light on my tool bag.
Other then that I carry a Browning folder in my pocket along with the spare mag for my LCP.
Figure I've been in the dark my whole life, why should I change now! :D

Yes, I carry a Streamlight in my fanny pack/holster.

I have some tacti-cool lights, but this one is sure handy. Pen, light and phone/tablet stylus in one. I guess if you flipped the cap around it would be pretty stabby.
But it kinda follows the old saying that the best gun is the one you have on you when the fight starts.

Short answer, no but I do keep a flashlight in each car. When I watch the EDC videos on Youtube I'm floored by all the stuff some people carry around w/them. All I tote, in addition to my ccw w/a reload, is a wallet, keys, cell phone & pocket knife.

I'm with you, I keep one in each car. But I do keep a flashlight either on me or in my messenger bag which is within arms reach always.
I see people adding mace/pepper spray, tasers, batons to their edc....it's crazy!
