Do You Ever Just Sit and Hold, Admire Your Gun Collection?

Sure. What's the point in having them if you can't admire them? I usually do a once-a-week wipe down of all my handguns, rifles and shotguns. On the revolvers, all get the cylinder opened and closed, and several will get handled to maintain the muscle memory of drawing and aiming. The semi's get similar treatment, slap in a magazine, eject said magazine, operate the slide, safeties, and on occasion I'll field strip one for practice.

Umm, no. That would be kinda weird wouldn't it?

Who would ever want to get away from the wife and kids to spend time, (quality time,) alone with firearms. And knives.

Yep I'm not ready for recovery yet since I feel I don't have a problem. Denial is my position on this.

My rifles are around the corner.

Nice collection. Do I see some 3rd Generation Semi-Auto's there? I'm a huge fan of the 3rd Gens.

Youse guys aint's gots youse priorities right. Youse is fondling youse guns and leav'n youse wimmin alone? Me thinks youse is lust'n after plastic guns toose

"ell yes I handle my guns. only a couple on a regular basis but my muscle memory for the rest is reinforced by those two or three. Revolvers, pistols, and rifles I handle them all over the coarse of a year.
Biggest problem is I'm also handling other peoples guns so I never really lust to handle my own. I get one of my revolvers out and "shoot" one of the liberal news anchors on the TV in my basement. I'd never really do it in real life but i sure do get quick with the aim and shoot cuz they don't keep a frame on the tv on for long.

Great post OP!! And of course I do. (And I know I have more guns than I can ever shoot...but I can't seem to part with any, I mean who's about to sell a Walther P4 or P5? Or any of my 1st thru 3rd Gen Smiths, or a Sig 220 in 9, or in 45?.....you get the idea. [And when I did sell one, like the 6906 'cause I didn't really "need" it what with a 3914 and 4513...I went out and found another to buy, 'cause how could I not have one?])

Most of the reason I buy them is to fondle them. I have guns that haven't been shot in years. I have too many to shoot in a regular basis. It's why I insist on primo condition guns. Pride in ownership.

I'm in the same boat as kbm6893, own lots, most are rarely shot and some I have never shot, even though I bought them as used firearms. Now, with ammo and reloading components scarce, I shoot even less, so I fondle... errrr... admire more. :D
